Titanfall has ruined future exclusives

Lol at CapwnD reassuring himself that the 360 library has anything on the PS3 one.

Everyone knows the PS3 library owns the 360's.

Thats a matter of opinion.Personally there is not a Sony exclusive that i care for except the next mainline FF game,if that is indeed exclusive.

I'm not sure what advertising they would have paid, I think I saw like two commercials about titanfall between February and now.

You do know that Sony owns a s*** load of developers right? Sony will always have exclusives. Whether or not you like those games is irrelevant. Sony always has and always will have the most exclusives. Anyone who says otherwise is only fooling themselves.

That's nice dear but there were still more exclusive games on the Xbox 360 last gen than there were on PS3. Unless that changed in the past six months or so, which is fair considering Sony did have a few more lately in their 7th year, as MS is already in their 8th year. I would hope Sony is still catching up.

LOL. No more drugs for this man.

What's up kid? Couldn't figure out how to use Google to search for facts so resort to insults instead?

Per your advice, Xbox 360 = 155 PS3 = 146. As you noted, 360 had an extra year over PS3. Didn't include the ones that include "Console" release since that makes them multi either on a previous console or PC. Feel free to ignore that fact though and use them since you'll want to strengthen your already weak argument. Xbox 360 = 21 PS3 = 3 of those.

I couldn't believe the company I work for sold EA exclusive rights to make Star Wars games. Then I realized when they fail, we still get paid. Well played Bob.

Argument? I was simply correcting his mistake. It's a common theme, Sony fanboys like to Make.Believe. It's their mantra.

This game goes to show what companies are willing to do in the shortgame. Make a few million dollars prior to release to lose a ton of money in the long run.

EA has confirmed this decision was a mistake.

Amount of money from Microsoft exclusive < overall profit if it wasnt.

Thanks to this muckup, exclusives on both sides are less likely to happen because profits from a GOOD multiplat will always supercede an exclusivity contract.

So thank you Titanfall, for showing corpetations the way and allowing EVERYONE to enjoy games while big studios still rake in cash

You mean a self-proclaimed industry insider named Pete Dodd, atFamousMortimer, has said that EA has confirmed this decision was a mistake.

Everyone is acting like sales are the be all and end all of what constitutes profits for a video game. Because the fact that Microsoft has pretty much funded any and all advertising pitching an exclusive Titanfall kind of superSedes a lot of the profits EA would have made multiplatting this game.

The only notable thing this dude has done so far was start a mini campaign on NeoGAF that helped start the movement regarding DRM. He hasn't really broken news, and frankly, I can't see anyone at a level in EA that would be privy to such information telling a glorified blogger that EA is regretting a decision that would quickly see advertising dollars cut. That would poison future dealings not only with Microsoft, but every other console manufacturer as well. Biting the hand that feeds is terrible for business.

Guarantee EA issues a statement in the following couple of weeks refuting this claim by Pete Dodd.

You're an idiot. Less sales equals more profit? Go to college

Less sales absolutely means more profit when you're also expected to pay MILLIONS for advertising, which has clearly happened here. Checked out the national television advertising for this game? Know how much a thirty second advertisement during a nationally aired show is? Not to mention that this game is being hosted on MS servers, using MS manpower. Know how much server setup and maintenance costs? Know who didn't have to lift a finger to fix login problems on launch day? Know who is likely funding DLC development?

Go to college. Also, on the topic, you should probably put proper punctuation at the end of a sentence when you beseech someone to go to college.

ok so lets do some more math then since you like adding stuff up. How much would EA have made selling 300,000 copies of Titan Fall on PS4. Which I think we can both agree it would have sold much more than that. EA lost money on this deal anyone who can do simple math can figure that out. Anyone else is just desperate to defend the choice.
