The "souped up" DirectX 12 Forza 5 demo was not running on Xbox One hardware!

Microsoft said that it allows for console-level efficiency on PC, a point they stressed with a ported tech demo of Forza Motorsport 5 running on PC. Forza was running on an Nvidia Titan Black, however, which is a much more powerful GPU than the Xbox One's.

So... Forza 5 looks better when running on DirectX12... on a much more powerful GPU?

Uhh duh?

Lying to gamers about how good their stuff is pretty much what Microsoft does.

They want people to buy their stuff before they realise the flaws, that's always been their policy.

that tech demo was to show developers how efficient dx12 is for porting.

It helps that they used Forza 5, the same Forza that was being ran on a PC last year at e3.

Forza 5 was shown to the public on PC a year ago, and multiple times after that

Not to mention that's a GTX Titan Black, that's like 5x the power of the Xbox One GPU lol

And I am not shocked to see more bullshot.

It would be nice if developers were honest with us...I mean honestly...word always gets out and they continue to do it..and in the end it looks really, really bad. The anger that people feel when they see stuff like this has nothing to do with how the game looks...it has to do with being lied to, and being treated like idiots.

Yes, but earlier on this board, people assumed it was on pure Xbox One hardware, and they were all, "ZOMGZ! The E3 version of Forza 5 was running on Xbox One at locked 60fps thanks to DirectX 12!!!" which clearly wasn't the case.

I highly doubt MS was trying to pull one over on consumers today seeing as how GDC is for developers and there was no actual stream of the presentation.
