Oblivion came out in March of 2006 after a Nov. "next gen" launch. We probably will not see a decent RPG until fall. Is this bad planning?

Being a big fan of the genre I cannot understand how this was over looked.

Bioware has to be pretty damn excited. Especially after witcher delay

Bound by Flame is an rpg for PS4 that's out in May. Xbone has nothing though.

That's a good question. I think that they're making a mistake by not having one at or near launch. They need a variety of games regardless of whether there isn't much of a fanbase or whether this console is seen as a first person shooter console. They should plan to release at least half a dozen good jrpgs within the next 2 years to add to the Xbox One's resume of games. I think that a plan like that would push milllions of console sales.

I'm just happy there not rushing one out, to find out it's poo.
Why do people not understand the xbox one will NEVER ship without kinect?

I don't think Oblivion was "poo" and it was out 4 months after the consoles launch.

I think so. Almost everything for both systems was FPS. Which, if you just don't happen to be a fan of them for whatever reason, left a lot of people out in the cold. Not saying the FPS shouldn't have been available, but there should have some variety to the offerings. Both Sony and MS missed the ball on this. My llama agrees.

I thought ACIV was an RPG, given how tedious its sidequests were.
