Lets talk about how much Titanfall closed the PS4 and XOne sales gap by!

Wasn't this game suppose to sell between 6-10 million copies?

Remember when gamers cared about games and not sales numbers.

Game sales can be a tricky thing. A AAA release cannot be enjoyed on Gamefaqs unless it sells somewhere in 5-10 million range. If it's on a console you don't like its garbage automatically. You must never admit its a good game even though obvious sour grapes are had. If the game sells too much it's dudebro crap.

The exception are obscure Japanese titles. Those are good no matter what.

EA is so pissed lol, they highly regret not bringing TF to ps4, and won't make the mistake again with TF 2

Most likely unless MS buys the franchise and pulls another Gears of War.

I don't know. I'm too busy enjoying games to care about sales. Games are fun. Sales numbers are for the business men at Sony and Microsoft.

The gap actually increased.....

Anyone holding out hope that MS can catch up worldwide at a higher price when MS and the 360 was outsold consistently by the ps3 worldwide when the prices were equivalent....I'd look for another faith.

This. TitanFall didn't do jack for Xbox One sales at all. Pretty much, most of the early adopters are the ones who bought the console for TitanFall to begin with.

The reasons why numbers are important early in the game because it dictates the direction of the console. Look at 360 vs PS3; The 360 had a stronger launch so 3rd parties were more willing to make exclusives for the 360.

I think it's doing so well, because there are literally no games on either system.

Figuratively*

My second pet peeve. The first, sig.

I hate it too, but you do realise they changed the meaning of literally to mean figuratively as well?

I had to look this up. Turns out it's true, except for Dictionary.com. I know what website I'm going to be using from now on...

Titanfall failed to help the Xbox One catch up with the PS4. In fact, the sales gap has gotten a bit wider. We're now looking at (According to VGchartz) 4.2 million for the Xbox One as opposed to the PS4's 6.9 million.

4.2 x $500
6.9 x $400

Seems pretty close to me.
