I guess it's the latter, then.

Mantle heavily reduces the CPU’s workload

Microsoft also discussed new CPU indexing algorithms in DirectX 12 that choose which core to use for specific tasks with no overhead. This lets those cores work completely asynchronously, Gosalia said, and maximizes the power of today's multi-core processors. I

So please take a moment and educate yourself and know what the hell you're talking about before commenting, especially making a topic in which you have no f******* clue as what you're even promoting.

Now try thinking about an important difference between the two... it's really not that hard.

You are correct. Its not hard. The PS4 will remain more powerful with both systems getting an API upgrade. So no ones gaining any ground besides the Devs.

Are you transmitting via fiber optics yet? If not, 720p will be here more often than not.

You didn't even try. Is it really that hard to admit the advantage that X1 has here?

What advantage does Direct X 12 possibly have over Mantle or other APIs?

Not for console, PS4 is lead platform for consoles, bigger market share by quite a bit. Consoles generate developer the most income, even tho I love PC the developer always follows the largest console market, which at this time is the PS4 and I don't see that ending.

Console is small biz compared to the reach of DX12. NVIDIA is already at par with Mantle in DX11.

Doesn't matter, counting PC and Xbox One game sales combined(MultiplatS), PS4 will probably do both of those together.

PC gamers mostly buy when the game is on sale for a few bucks.

Sorry, but the PS4 is the market holder this generation.

Console gamers when you read a story about hardware, do us all a favor and assume it's b******* until you actually research how hardware and computer architecture works. This goes for both sides, none of you have the slightest clue what you're talking about.

Thank you.
