Just wondering if people would be more willing to buy an X1 that was the same in all other aspects, just slightly more powerful.

I'd just feel pity for all the dupes that bought X1.0 and ignore the console.

Totally would depend on the price and whether Kinect was still included.

Exact same everything as what is currently offered, just equivalent specs.

k

It's a dumb idea that would be suicide for M$'s gaming division on so many levels, including but not limited to, fully conceding that your choice wasn't the right one, and the competition is better than you, lets not forget spurning your fans/early adopters.

However I did answer your question... read my sig.

Not trolling, legit question. The difference in power is there, refusing to admit it won't make it disappear, and it will affect the gen cycle to some extent.

You say it would be viewed as suicide, but if they offered a trade in program to early adopters to facilitate an easy transition it could be viewed as a fresh start and a relatively good way to distance themselves from the poor messaging going along with the X1.

No reason to get so defensive.
