Despite the xbox/sony fandoms i would say both consoles are a let down

The jump this gen from the previous gen feels so small and laughable compared to the jump the xbox was to to the xbox 360 and the ps2 to ps3 were. Instead of saying which console is better then the other gamers should be more angry and MS and Sony for giving us tech that would have been considered mid level a couple of years ago.

I personally disagree. Having a blast with my PS4

Well with all the multi-plats hitting the old systems and comparing the same game on the new systems it really isn't that great of a jump if you look at side by side play. If anything they should have held off 2-3 more years and given us a bigger jump in the tech they were using.

I agree. It'll get better obviously, but spending $400 to $500 bucks just to get a console that has significantly less features than its previous gen counterpart is just lame. The Xbox One OS at launch was a freaking disgrace. Still is, but it has at least gotten better. PS4's isn't much better.

I'm not saying that the consoles aren't fun. But they just don't offer much in the way of value and hardware considering their cost. Especially when we are still seeing 360/ps3 being supported heavily with games that don't look that much lower quality as far as resolution goes and the gameplay is the exact same. It also makes it harder to try and convince owners of the ps3 and xbox 360 to jump ship to the new gen. Waiting a few years would have been worth it i think as we wouldn't have experienced much loss without having these consoles out now.

I don't. But this isn't my first console launch. None of them were particularly great. It's just a new console.

The Xbox One launch has been quite funny though - screw everything left and right funny.
