Titanfall wasn't the Xbox One's killer app, so what game will be?

PS4 sold 7 million and the X1 sold 5 million, don't exaggerate the gap, that doesn't equate to "2-3 times".

Just because the PS4 sold more consoles doesn't mean that's it's dominating or that the X1 is doing poorly.

5 millions SHIPPED
that's one way to twist things, but only weak minded fanboys will be deluded.

Second..."Just because the PS4 sold more consoles doesn't mean that's it's dominating "

I'm interested to read what a 2+ millions units sold gap means for you, if it's not dominating.
Go ahead, entertain us please.

Titanfall maybe wasn't the "killer app", but it certainly helped with the sales. I know a good amount of people bought X1 on March 11.

It did help a lot. But in the end even Titanfall could not prevent the PS4 from dominating the Xbox One.
And there is nothing to soften the blow from now on.

Yeah looks like PS4 will continue selling 2-3 times as much as XB1 for the foreseeable future.

Look at it this way, both MIcrosoft and Sony are breaking even with each console sold and so they're only making money through subscriptions and software sales and those are actually A LOT closer to each other despite the PS4 selling roughly 2 million more units.

1. XB1 has shipped 5 million not sold.

2. the totals have nothing to do with how much more PS4 is selling than XB1 currently, since the holidays ended PS4 has been selling more than twice as much.

3. the software sales are nowhere close, the attach rate is similar though. And how much each company is earning or losing is all pure speculation, MS gave away titan fall for free with XB1 bundles on top of discounting the console $50. both companies are still likely in the process of recovering R&D costs at this point (that $100 million MS spent of designing the controller needs to be earned back).

Something in 2015, when there'll be 2x as many ps4s as xb1s in people's homes

Please show us a link showing that PS4 sold twice as much doing the holiday season.

I said since the holiday season ended, not during it.
At the end of last year Sony announced that they had sold 4.2 million consoles, at the same time MS said they had shipped 3.9 million and sold "over 3 million", to keep it simple let's say that meant 3.2 million. so there's was roughly a difference of 1 million in sales.

Come April Sony announced they have sold over 7 million consoles, and MS say they have shipped 5 million and won't give out the number of sold consoles. VGchartz numbers are pretty much spot on for Sony with 7.1million, there's little reason to say their XB1 numbers are wrong and they have it at 4.3 million.

So since january Sony has sold 2.9 million consoles, and MS have sold 1.1-1.3million.
Now I'm no mathematician, but the numbers say that so far this year sony has well over twice as many consoles.
