Why did Microsoft decide to call their next console the Xbox One?

Honestly makes no sense to me. Xbox to Xbox360 to Xbox One. If I were a causal I would say Xbox One is supposed the first one of the Xbox Generation. Lol.

One device to rule them all.

Cheating has gone hand-in-hand with gaming for centuries. Video games in particular often have cheats built right into the game.

Makes sense. Microsoft is the greatest company known to man. Hail Bill Gates!

Because numbers aren't just for counting. They can also represent things. Xbox 360 wasn't the 360th Xbox, after all.

They came up with the "All in one" line but couldn't think of anything else that could rhyme with one.

I really liked Bill Gates...he seemed to want to direct the Xbox Division in another direction. Kinda amazing the first entire gen they were w/out him and it starts flopping. You see a lot of this with Microsoft products/services now that Gates has left as an active influence.
