if it helps drop the price/move more units, then might aswell have one.

theres plenty of people that would prefer this.

No. We already have an underpowered PC out there. We don't need another.

They spent some decent money on Kinect. I dont see them dropping the support for it.

Better question

Kinect, is it really needed?

If gameshark wasn't invented... games wont be as popular anymore

No. The Kinect is $75 of the cost, making a Kinectless Xbox One cost $425. MS wants to make a profit of some sort so the MSRP will probably be $450, which was the price of an Xbox One + a $60 game for around 3 weeks.

Anyone who wanted an Xbox One already has it, or is waiting until next year for more games to come out.

Most of my friends who were die hard 360 people refuse to buy the One until the Kinect is dropped, and I'm right with them.

What Microsoft didn't anticipate was that there are people who don't see the value in the Kinect and so far Microsoft hasn't done anything to challenge that notion.

So yes, I would say it would be in Microsoft's best interests to drop the Kinect and turn the tide here and now.
