A sale and price drop are different, my friend.

It was never an official price drop from MS only trolls on here made it seem that way.

MSRP is $500, stores can sell it at whatever they want. They probably pay 375-425

I don't know if you wanted to pick it up at a store or not, but Amazon has at least two left for $462.

And, yes, I visit Eurogamer's Digital Foundry for X1/PS4 comparisons.

yea I def snoozed. The $450 pricepoint really got me interested but then I got cold feet. Finally got to play titanfall and see the xb1 in action this weekend at my cousins house and was sold ...

ran around town today only to find out everyone is selling at $499!! Ugh I was so disappointed but I couldn't help but pull the trigger this time.

Price will be officially dropped at e3. At least everything points to that.

I think that most stores don't even make a profit off of the things. I work retail and was told one time there was a sale on a 200 or 300 dollar printer and they company actually lost 100$ per printer, but makes it up in ink sales. I wouldn't be surprised if they made negative profits on the hardware actually.

It was on sale for $450.

It's common for many stores to implement sales at the same time, to avoid being undercut by their competitors. The sales gradually stopped, and the system is back to its actual price, $500.
