My brother just bought a PC for DayZ but it isn't top of the line and spent alot of $$$ on it still. I watched him play DayZ, it just stutters and consitantly just jumps around. If you don't have top of the line PC you can't play most of the best games. I will just wait until it comes out on Xbox1. I get PC gamers if you only want PC but, I can't afford to drop that kind of money on a computer.

That is Day Z, it does that no matter what. It's a Pre-Alpha game, lol.

Oh well, that's also why I don't want PC or even Xbox and Sony games do Beta's and Alpha games. I have patience, I will pay for a complete game not a half of a game, Lol

Yeah, it drops to 20s on me with $1,400 in video cards. Game is meh ne way. For the record, a lot of people misconstrue computer hardware as a $300 graphic card cannot compete with a $700, while it is true the more expensive one wins it's not by a landslide. The higher price, the less performance gained. Twice the price for 20% more performance. The expensive gpus are not needed but they're on the market for the enthusiast who wants the best, not for your average gamer.

I hope that clears things up a bit, see a lot of ignorance on the forums as of lately (No offense to you)

Kinect isn't required for gaming, it's just a UI input device. Building the comparison for actual gaming purposes, granted you can't play the lackluster Kinect games such as Rivals but it's a trade off.

Edit: Why include a quality mic? It's not like the Xbox One's Kinect picks up your voice flawless, it works around 80% of the time. 1080P Camera is like $10 and a Mic that would pick up your voice 80% of the time is $10

Satisfied now or you going to be butthurt some more?

Wow did you bump your head or something this morning, how could you make up so many facts in one post? The kinect doesnt pick up any voice 20% of the time? A kinect costs 20$?

The only reason you come here is because of deep severe butthurt, so I wouldnt mention it if I was you. If I was you Id get help for my mental illness tho.

Well it's a xeeh post. The guy is practically famous for the amount of butthurt and idiocy radiating from him at all times.

Keep on trolling, kid!

Manufacturing cost of the Kinect they estimate at 80 dollars. And of course you can not buy a webcam or mic at manufacturing cost.

Keep on trolling kid.

Who doesn't own a computer at this point in time? A PC isn't just for games. The vast majority of my usage of my computer is non-gaming. Yet it is capable of playing games at higher resolution and frame rate than the XBONE.

Unless you are the kind of person who uses a $300 laptop.

It's dishonest that very few price comparisons include the cost of PS+ and Live Gold for the consoles.

Yeah, I get why people love PC games graphics have always been better. But, i'm a casual gamer and just like to play on my recliner :) If I did the whole stream and youtube channel for a living, definitely would use PC, but I suck at shooters on PC the whole mouse and keyboard I can't grasp the concept lol.

I'm not building a Kinect, I'm buying a 1080P Camera and mic for a PC which is around $20 for both.

Almost every 'What kind of PC can you build for $500 dollars to compete with the X1' comparison I see is disingenuous. Even from professional organizations who make internet articles about it.

They almost always leave out the Kinect device. I know the Kinect is controversial and many say it is unnecessary. But that does not change the fact that it is part of the X1 purchase. So any hypothetical build should include a 1080p camera and a pretty decent mic. It's not one of those generic coming out of your headphones and right next to your mouth crappy mics either.

Kinect SHOULD be optional, thats why so many people want to build similarly costed PCs and why MS is failing to sell consoles.

I could walk into almost any electronics retailer in the U.K. and walk out with a day one edition.

Concept for M/K is easy, just takes time to get use to it. Keyboard controls are easier, mouse is for looking/aiming. Depending on your playstyle, takes months to get use to but it's far superior to controller. After awhile you'll be able to headshot without thinking or even really aiming. I do alright with a controller but that's due to aim assist where it homes in on the target, you don't get that on PC so using a controller on PC = slaughter
