YOUR TV setup; can you tell the difference between 720p/1080p?

Everyone who posts in these topics and doesn't make reference to viewing distance in relation to screen size can be ignored. That is the single most important factor. Without this, you may as well be wearing a blue shirt and selling me a protection plan on a Sunday afternoon.

Or, there's this guy:

On my 40" and 55" I can tell very easily from any distance.

No, you can't.

Known troll.

I game on 32" 720p (supports 1080i too)and sit within 3 feet, so i really can't tell for 1080p. Graphics actually do look crisper though when switching from 1080i to 720p.

I can tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on my TV. Small difference but it's there. 1080p looks sharper and cleaner.

I can see a difference. The effect it has is: "wow, this looks very clean."

It is very noticeable, I don't understand, why wouldn't it be? It's like people claiming that 60 FPS is the same as 30, it sounds very uneducated because it is clear as day the difference, you'd have to either be willfully ignorant or blind to not notice.

60 inch, sit on my couch ~3 yards away and I can definitely tell a difference.

I play on a 42" and I can notice. Now 900p is a different story. Ryse was hard to tell it wasn't 1080p because those resolutions aren't that far apart in the first place.

I can tell between 720 and 1080 though. Usually it is textures. 1080 as obvious improvement in textures and draw distance usually. It isn't like 720p can't look good though. You can still pack in the texture, AA, and effects in 720 but it just won't be quite as nice as 1080p.

Lol this is soooo true. Without my glasses I kinda struggle to see a huge difference, but when I get those bad boys on, the difference become sooooo much clearer (literally it becomes crystal clear to me).
