Wow this is good news!

If this continues maybe video games can finally be taken seriously by the mainstream.

William Shatner had his own game at one point
Emma Stone was in Sleeping Dogs for a minute
Jack Black was pretty much the face of Brutal Legend
Most of the people from the Lego Movie had their voices in the game for it, including Morgan Freeman

As far as being "mainstream", video games are already there, and have been for a while.

In fact, 58% of Americans play video games with the average household owning at least 1 dedicated gaming device.

The games industry generated $20.7 billion in 2012 compared to Hollywood's $10.8 billion. That is nearly double the revenue.

If anything, Hollywood actors being in games just might help generate revenue for Hollywood by getting gamers to watch movies that star the person who provided the the voice and/or likeness of their favorite game character.

ALL games should have a Single Player mode. I can always guarantee I want to play when I turn on my system. I can't guarantee others will at the same time.

Big time actors aren't suddenly going to make people take video games seriously if the majority of them are still Michael Bay explosion fests with terrible writing.

Couldn't care less = you don't care one single bit.
Could care less = you do care, at least a little.

We need Patrick Stewart in games. He is great on family guy and American dad, in fact one of my favourite fg episodes is when Stewie spends time with the star trek crew.

Patrick Stewart is possibly one of the most generous actors in the industry, just wow about him.

The first Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has him monologuing before every level starts. Quite the passages too.

rockstar actually STOPPED using big name actors in their games so they could use the money to make the games better

and their games are the most popular games in existence

moral of the story: big name actors are not needed
