Can someone give examples if what the DX12 update will improve?

No one here knows what going to happen with DX12 no matter how hard they try to convince you.

The "power of the cloud" lie already ran its course so they made this one up in order to try to scam uninformed gamers and feed the denial of the xbots.

I mean we're 6 months in after launch and we are yet to see games using it in a really meaningful way.

Anyone who is a developer knows exactly what DX12 is going to offer since the developer preview has been released for quite some time. The differences between performance of DX11 and DX12 from the GPU perspective are minimal. DX12 is not going to make significant changes in GPU performance.

What DX12 is set to achieve is the solution to the plateau CPUs have hit for quite some time while GPUs are still getting better and better. Developers don't have the time to optimize for multi-CPU and the number of developers with the experience is low. This is why Intel CPUs with better single CPU performance are better for higher end GPUs.

DX12 is also set to unify the code between platforms. Unlike the recent OpenGL that can run on PC and Mobile devices, Microsoft does not have multi-platform support. DX11 for the Xbox One is not the same as the PC. You can't easily run one version on the other. DX12 is set to change that. Make a DX12 PC game, the expectation is that it runs on the Xbox One with little to no modifications.

The only people who don't know what DX12 offers are people who aren't in the industry.
