C/D This is the most accurate list for the best three controllers ever.

3: SNES
2: Wii Classic Controller
1: Nyko iType 2 for PS2

My number 1 choice is because of the lovely design and usefulness in my then favorite game, RPG Maker 3. Of course everyone knows RPGs have craptons of text, and it made putting countless hours into making and playing my own RPGs such a breeze. It was also comfortable, with good analogs and button placement. Here's what it looks like:

Gamecube is pretty awesome, but I don't like the triggers, as many developers forced only functions with the click on the triggers, and not simply pressing the trigger.

Like Zelda games, for example...with lock-on, make the lock-on activate by a press of the trigger, it's annoying holding it down to click and lock on.

That's the only negative I have for the gamecube controller, it was a really good controller for it's time.

the 360 controller had such a horrible dpad.

yes it did but 99.9% of games used it as a hat switch so it worked perfectly fine for that. Just sucked for using to control with that only 0.01% of games used it for.

GameCube controller fit like a glove, it was MONEY!! Nintendo should have kept building on it to make it even better instead of making XBOX knockoffs.

The GameCube controller killed my infatuation with Nintendo. Worst controller ever. You have this super tight C-Stick, which made it impossible for FPS games, and the terrible after thought which is the Z Button. Such an awkward placement. Terrible controller.

I never really liked Xbox controllers but I don't think they are bad either.
