Still seeing ads for Titanfall on IGN makes me sad

It's like finding a happy meal toy for John Carter at a yard sale. A sad remnant from a time before the harsh reality of mediocre sales/market penetration set in.

It would be like seeing Sony still running that Perfect Day ad with only footage of Killzone or Knack.

Let it go, Microsoft and start prepping Titanfall 2.

It's been 2 months and it's selling very well. Please stop trolling.

This sales data, via NPD, includes physical copies sold in North America only.

And I bought mine digital...

That's pretty good for a new IP, released on a brand new system, not including 360 sales.

Oh but that doesn't fill your "hype" expectation? Sorry. Good luck getting over it.

That's not including 360 sales, not including digital sales, not including Titanfall Xbox One bundle sales and not counting sales outside of the US as well. The number there is for X1 and PC physical disc sales in the US only.

You're right. It just feels like it didn't get a real foothold in the marketplace. Meaning, I don't hear anyone talking about it anymore and it was just released a month and a half ago.

Well some DLC just dropped today. So you might hear some chatter from whoever you're talking to...

Maybe it just says more about our A.D.D.-addled culture than about Titanfall's shortcomings. It seems like no game has a chance to become the focus of conversation/public interest for long before people are clamoring for the next big thing.

It's over 2 million copies sold already, the majority of which are on Xbox One. It's Amazon.com's #1 selling game of the year. In other words, shut the hell up.

This site is a good example of that. Hype the game you're looking forward to, move on when it comes out.

But if you're looking for a massive amount of talk on Titanfall, check out the Titanfall boards. Since the game is now out, that's where most of the convos are taking place.

Is there any need to be that hostile? Sheesh......
