Honestly, $399 for a Kinect-less Xbox One SKU is still too expensive

What they should do is include say $50 of MS money with the Kinect-less bundle like they do with the Windows phones and some Windows 8 laptops.

399 X1 competes with 399 PS4.

You can currently get an Xbox One with Kinect and either Titanfall or Forza 5 for $100 more. I have even seen those bundles priced at $450-$470 from various sellers, brand new.

The $399 SKU should have come with a free game really, or been priced at $349.

I doubt that will last, but yea I agree. Those who bought the x-1 bundles got a better deal.

At least they've dropped the whole Kinect thing and they're also supposed to bring video games with Live.

Xbox One, our new PS3.5, overpriced but still.

$349 would be a great competitive price point for X1.

This should have been done from the start really. Although i still think it is a fair price, despite what troll want you to think about the better graphics blah blah, it's not a huge difference. And unless you are playing side by side comparisons your gaming experience wont change. A console should be bought based on personal taste for controller, and exclusives, And if you play online whichever console you have the most real life friends on, online friends to group up with.

Although i think this might cause a slight boost in sales, i also wonder if it wont be as big as expected since they are making this move fairly early after the console have been launched. A lot of bad press, and loud trolls will hurt.

Also talking of titanfall/forza bundles. As far as titanfall is concerned it is available on the 360 so that doesn't give much incentive to buy. Plus not every gamer is interested. And Forza has an appeal to a very select group of gamers. I don't think it has the broad appeal to sell a console to those on the fence.

Although it is nice to see bundles now with debate-ably new/nice games. Does anyone remember when bundles were the games that you wouldn't even consider purchasing even if they were under $10?
