A Generational Hatred of Xbox?

XD, people aren't hating on Microsoft and the Xbox One because they're too young to appreciate a multiple-console environment

They're doing it because Microsoft was so stupid about what this console was originally going to be and had a terrible attitude towards anybody who wanted them to change it to a system they'd actually want to buy

You call out Sony fanboys for it but ignore all the Nintendo fanboys, PC fanboys, former Xbox players who turned to PS4 after the Xbox One's features were revealed to be ****, and multi-console owners who decided not to buy one after the reveal was a terrible anti-consumer console

I know you're an Xbox fanboy but this is spin on the level of "people are buying PS4 because they don't like their PS3"

I actually only spoke specifically about Sony fanboys in the original post; I mentioned differential factors of other types later in the thread.

But you've got the incorrect gist overall; I'm not talking about the Xbox One specifically, but rather brand ties.

People hate the xbox brand because microsofts entry into the console space ruined gaming.

Its that simple.

Sigma, a comment. Recent statements from your supposed employer are calling your reliability into question, especially your comment that The Division was switching to XBox as lead platform.

Care to comment? It seems that if you legitimately did work there, you'd know this. Artists are a notoriously short lived job in the game industry as well.

It's given a sense of hyperbole to everything nowadays. When was the last time you saw someone aged 25 or under refer to something relatively prostrate and normal as "reasonably good"? Between the "THIS COCKTAIL IS THE GREATEST EVER!" and the "MANCHESTER UNITED ARE UTTERLY ****!" plastered on Facebook, Twitter and internet forums, I bet you'd be at least 4:1 on the ratio of hyperbolic to reserved/considered opinions.

What this means, of course, is everyone just gets more extreme in their "team" investment... "more fanboyish", so to speak.
You do realize that statement is pretty much an hyperbole posted on the internet, right? It doesn't contemplate that maybe the people who aren't as vocal don't really use Facebook, Twitter or internet forums and making a post about how okay-ish a cocktail is would be pointless.

That's like saying every gamer is a douche nowadays because of the behavior I've seen on GameFAQS.

That's Massive. Our studio is still working with X1 kits by default; if you recall at the first reveal of the game stated it would be the case. Now, if the deal with Microsoft to build with specialised tools has now fallen through, we haven't caught wind of it yet. We are not at the top of the grapevine, not least me in my position.

Calling your bluff here, I can't find any reveal info for The Division specifying a lead platform at all, much less that the Xbone was the lead

In fact the only thing Google's showing my about Xbone being the lead platform for the game are the E3 leak rumors stating as much, specifically that lead platform development was being shifted to Xbone

So I'd say it's your turn to provide some evidence

"Provide evidence"? What, go into my place of employment where not even USB drives are permitted, take a screencap of a bunch of NDA-breaking file names, and post them on here?

I am not Ubisoft, I only speak for the information I have (and my own person), and the information I'm allowed to divulge.

No, show the reveal information stating the Xbone as the lead platform like you said it was

EDIT: Unless you meant that Xbone development kits were being used but that the Xbone wasn't the lead console, in which case I misread cause I haven't slept last night XD

But still please show this information cause I can't find anything about it, in fact a Google search for "tom clancy the division xbox one dev kit" seems to state the opposite
