Why did they make titanfall multiplayer only?

I mean, if they added a campaign and story and a mode like zombies or something it would have sold more and would be a better game.

To be honest do they have enough of a budget to that? But if they did then idk TC I enjoy but it would of been better if it had it

Smaller team. They wanted to keep things focused for their first game.

Most people only play the multiplayer portion of games like CoD. I remember that the original Modern warfare a little over half finished the campaign. By Black Ops it was less than 20%. They needed the game out ASAP, the throw away campaign goes first.
Google the stats, it's out there.

I suppose... But they already made lots of changes to deviate from the generic fps. I'm sure they could do work in the single player. Maybe have parts without guns and hand to hand combat?

EA is trying to maximize their profit. If they can turn a relatively stripped-down multi-player only game into a smash hit, then they will be better off this gen. Plus, they've become enamored with always-online games for some reason.

For a multiplayer game you would think they would have put in more then the bare minimal of multiplayer content.

I don't think that they had the budget nor a large enough team to do it. Microsoft basically funded Titanfall.
