Hence I said "many". I did most of the side stuff, and then the main story, in that time-frame.

For some reason I felt skyrim takes longer to get most done since there's so many side quests and other questlines. Plus the world is larger and more filled with NPCs and towns. Not a blown out nuclear wasteland with fewer intact cities.

I don't know how, but okay I guess. I won't doubt your honesty. I easily went over 100 hours before the dlc.

It wasn't my first playthrough, to be clear. That's why. So I knew how to go thru it fast.

My first run? was about 80 so hours. with most DLC done. Everyone has their own pace.

I would rather wait 5 years between Fallout/Elder Scrolls games and have them be amazing, then to have a new one every 2 years that is barely any different.

I also wouldn't cite Bioware as a shining example of anything. Shadow of it's former self. Gutted by EA after the failures of DA2 and SWTOR. There was a time when Bioware vs. Bethesda was an interesting topic and heated debate. Today? Not even worth discussing. Dragon Age 3 is their last chance to show there is a tiny spark left in them. Mass Effect 4 will be action schlock with Gears multiplayer.

So nothing confirmed for E3, for another year? at this pace, I expect a "teaser" at E3 2015.
And then the damn game won't come out until 2026! FO4 may be the next "Duke Nukem Forever"

Todd Howard got lazy after FO3 and Skyrim. He's just enjoying his MONEY he made off millions of sales. Look at him! The Mothership Zeta DLC was stupid anyway...

At least Bioware is keeping on track and open with fans, feeding new updates regularly on blogs and Twitter. Dragon Age 3 and Mass Effect 4 are within reach, and coming to next gen sooner than later.

Then there's CDPRed with Witcher 3 coming early 2015. So thanks to these developers I'll have some good WRPGS to enjoy.

OR maybe OBSIDIAN is working on a new next gen RPG for a long time similar to Fallout? They made New Vegas after all which was a nice companion to FO3. HMMM I hope they show something at E3. This news was from long time ago too.

from 2013

A job listing for Level Designer will involve “planning and populating missions/quests, scripted sequences, encounters, challenges and rewards,” suggesting that the title will contain some RPG elements.

So yeah, it's possible that Obsidian may be the new savior of Fallout in the end. interesting since the New Vegas team was made up of some former staff who made FO1 and 2.

Here is my theory. I think there will be a fallout teaser at e3. By Bethesda. Bgs hasn't done anything since skyrim. Fallout 3. Came out 2008. New Vegas came out 2010. My theory bgs is already working on fallout 4. To be released fall of 2015. And the fallout by obsidian 2017. Get what I'm saying?

Isn't it possible this team could be working on a new game altogether? What makes people think it's automatically Fallout 4? They didn't even make New Vegas.

It's not that bad, it's only been 4 years or so since NV. Not counting Tactics/BoS the gap's nothing like 2-3, not even halfway. That was a pain.

Skyrim came out in 2011, so it isn't crazy to think that the next game will come out in 2015. They'll probably do a teaser this fall, a media dump before E3 next year, and release late 2015. But they might not deliver until 2016. It will be interesting to see what they put together with a full development cycle.
