Both are quite poor, I would get it for PC and run it at 1200p if I actually wanted to play it.

You guys need to realize that your XBONE/PS4 are badly performing consolized gaming PCs. They have literally moved beyond all of the defining qualities of a traditional games console. All of the stuff that you play on them are watered down low-res PC games.

no no

I prefer the way it looks on consoles

but I'm not a fanboy see, because it's my aesthetic preference

am I doing this right?

And you do realize that consoles cost about $400 when compared to over a $1000 run it at 1200p right? It's a no brainer that the pc will look better.

Is it me, or the differences between the version are very small? Maybe it's small on my TV, cause the differences were pretty slight to me. IMO, the X1 version has better contrast...I think that's the right word to describe it. It was dark and gloomy.

After seeing this, I'm happy I pre-ordered yesterday.

respectfully I'd have to disagree. I think there are clear differences in detail, shading & shadows that favor the ps4. Don't get me wrong, the XB1 version is acceptable, but from a purely technical aspect, it's clear the PS4 is more detailed.

Sony should really try to make the devs turn off the shadows completely and go 1080p. It would sell 100x better, because, as we can see, noone even realize the nearly complete absence of AO in the X1 version.
All that matters are the numbaz and not how it looks nowadays.

Last of Us, on the other hand, looks barely better than a PS2 game.

Since when did less effects = better?

Such a troll circle jerk. BeefEaster, dolabla, and CharadeSmith and having a field day attacking a plastic box. Fight the good fight men and be sure not to get chafed.

If I'm not using a magnifying glass, I actually lean towards the Xbox One version.

My Ps4 will be sad.

Shhh. Don't say that. You're not allowed to have an opinion. PS4 is 1080p, so there's no way on earth the X1 looks better!

The more I watch this the more I can see that the X1 version looks superior. Who would have thought? The PS4 version is passable though.
