It actually is a competition. $399 and no DRM is the reason PS4 is stomping Xbone right now. Yeah Microsoft has changed their policies, but Sony has all the momentum now.

I had this very discussion just yesterday. Though I don't necessarily like the way everything becomes a competition, can you explain this:

"We are going to kill Sony at E3!" Microsoft marketing director.

Doesn't that sound like a competition to you?

We are on the sidelines and aren't affected by it as people in that business--but that doesn't mean that they don't view it as a competition.

They do it to rile up fanboys because its good for buisness, if people think they are part of a movement they are more likely to empty their pockets. MS and Sony actually work together more than they let on to the general public, it's beneficial to both for fanboys to take sides.
