So are vgchartz numbers ok now?

Seems like a month ago if anyone brought up vgchartz most would dismiss it, saying 'lol vgchartz'.

Now though it seems like everyone considers them to be quite accurate.

They are accurate within reason.

I always account a 5%+- sampling error variance.

Only if it helps their argument.

Simply no. Arguably, older data revised to actual reports can be accurate, but their weekly data is nowhere near reliable

No. They never have been, and never will be. The only time they aren't dismissed is by blinded people who only see what they want to see.

This seems to be the case.

From what I can tell the closer the numbers are to the present the less reliable they are. The further back you go on vgchartz data the better it is. I think they make updates, which would account for that.

Said it before and I'll say it again: VGChartz is only accurate when it supports what you support.

It seems like reliable numbers are getting harder to find. Sony and Nintendo never disclosed their April NPD sales. At this point vgchartz is about all we got.
