Serious Discussion. Could Kinect resource requirements be offloaded to cloud?

Could the Kinect resources (the "10%") be offloaded to the cloud?

This is how SIRI and Google Now and Cortana work. Why can't Kinect voice analysis and etc work this way? I imagine that high precision motion control would require local resources for latency reasons, but for low-precision or latency-insensitive applications (such as voice commands or voice controls) I imagine it would work.
