I like how so many people missed the point i was trying to make.
There's a lot of awesome games coming out for every system, why not just enjoy them? If a game is coming out for a system you don't have, well then why not consider getting it once there's at least a few to make it worth it?
Video games is the only industry I can think of where the results of close competition only make things better for the consumer. Most other industries (cars, food) try to make things either cheaper which results in lower quality, or higher quality which means many people cant afford it. With games having standard, set prices they improve simply to get more people to buy them, while the price maintains the same (or usually, sucks about Canada and the PS4 price going up) So buy up all the good games you want and whatever system they're on. Hell before E3 I never would have considered an Xbone, but now the price is lower, and games like PHantom Dust and Scalebound have really peaked my interest. Same goes for the Wii U with things like Mario Maker, Hyrule Warriors, and Bayonetta 2 including the first game since I no longer have my old copy.
It's a fantastic time to be a gamer, so gamers won E3. I'll even go a step further and say the only ones who LOST E3 are fanboys, because they're purposely locking themselves away from some great experiences. I know this gen I'm going to own all three consoles again once i get the money to spare for them.
Dark Souls 2 + Dragon's Crown crossover game needs to happen.
