You made it sound as though you're demanding them to make it.

Did not sell well enough. You get more Dragon Age, Mass Effect and an unannounced new IP instead.

Nah. Besides the BS on their games having meaningful choices, I think they make awesome games. I just wanted to see Jade Empire get another shot. It was one of the reasons I bought on OG Xbox.

You can get a better version here: http://www.gog.com/game/jade_empire_special_edition

No DRM and also runs better.

Part of me was really hoping for a KotOR game to be announced.

Really? Looks like they are the same thing. How does the GoG version run better? In what way?
(I have been considering picking this up and I don't want to get an inferior version)

Steam doesn't modify their games to make them work on modern systems and Jade Empire has a LOT of issues with modern computers.

GOG tends to modify the games in order to try to increase compatibility. I don't own the gog version of the game (though the summer sale on gog is on now so I'll keep my eye out for Jade Empire to go on a better sale than 50% off) but everything I know about gog tells me that if you want a version of an old game to work without issue? Your best bet is to buy the gog.com version rather than Steam version.

It's one of the reasons I want KotOR and KotOR 2 to show up on gog.com, those games are annoying to set up as they HATE multi-core CPUs. You can work around it but a gog version wouldn't require me to work around it, just install and play.

Course Disney will never put KotOR on there. After all, everything gog.com has is 100% DRM free.

edit:

I'm off work now but if you have any questions for me feel free to ask, I'll check this thread again when I get home.
