For people that own both a ps4 and X1. How do you find time to play both systems

#1ShadowNinja87Posted 6/15/2014 4:31:43 PM
I have a ps4 and I kinda was thinking of getting an X1 at some point solely for Gears of War 4 and Sunset Overdrive those are pretty much the only two games on the console that interest me.

But since I don't have as much free time to dedicate to gaming as I used to, or the extra money to sink on buying games for two systems and online fees, it kinda seems like a waste for me to own both. I work two jobs and social life, family stuff takes most of my time ( I am 26 btw). It just seems expensive more so than last gen.

I was wondering how you guys and/ or girls who own both systems justify owning both and sinking all that money into gaming? I am not knocking anyone that does so you know. I am really looking for advice on whether I should sink another 400 into gaming since I am so busy these days.

If you were me, would you buy both systems?

I have both and have barely been playing my PS4. I play my multi-plats on PC and have been using my PS4 only for MLB 14 The Show. I have been playing PvZ, DR3, and Ryse on my Xbox. I pre-ordered my PS4 the day it was announced and only bought my Xbox like 2 and a half months ago. I've logged in a lot more time on it than my PS4.

My schedule simply allows for it. It's simply whether I feel like playing one or the other.

I work 10 1/2 hours a day on weekdays, so I'm normally too tired to go out. Therefore if I don't nap I spend some of that time gaming. Heck sometimes I'll even pull out the PS3 and play DOA5U or something. If there's something family related then I'll have already known about and plan for that instead. And I'll typically spend the weekends with friends. So yeah, I have 13.5 hours to do as I please. 3 or 4 of those are usuallly dedicated to gaming.

If you're too busy then no I wouldn't get another console.

I haven't been playing my Ps4 very much.

I mostly play Titanfall on Xbox One because I am a fan of multiplayer first person shooters.

I wanted to play the Destiny alpha on Ps4, but I ran out of money and couldn't afford PSN+.

I got both consoles because I know there will be good exclusives on both of them.

So I guess the reason I have enough time to play on both is that I'm broke and have no money to buy new games?

Being 32, my gaming time has decreased a lot in the last 5 years or so. I have a hard enough time to game on x1 and Wii u, I don't wanna even think about a 3rd console...hardly play the 2 I've got.

I landed myself my dream job 5yrs ago I work 3 days a week 7pm to 7:30am, I have a huge amount of free time to socialise, spend time with the wife and game until my fingers bleed. I'm one of the lucky ones.

They picked an allegiance to a system. And they defend it and will lay their own lives for the console of their choosing. The Game of Consoles is just starting.

Simple, I don't have any games for my PS4 that I absolutely want to play. I play Child of Light on it every now and then, but nothing out so far really stood out for me. I may pick up Watch Dogs in a few days.

These days I don't have time to play either system :/ . I'm too busy learning Unity and using it to create a game for Oculus Rift.

That's the thing for me only two games on X1 interest me Gears of War 4 and Sunset Overdrive. Titanfall and Dead Rising 3 can be played on my old PC. So I guess I am trying to decide if spending 400 for a console for two games is worth it. I am certainly content with my ps4 right now.
