It really is a shame that Wolfenstein: TNO doesnt have Multiplayer Matchmaking

Battlefield is a shooter that the MP is aimed squarely at core gamers for. Competing against other people is always more difficult and varied than any single player campaign. I would argue that casuals are what campaigns are aimed at, not core gamers.

Exactly.

I'd like to adress a few things here.

1) Hipster indie people who think that the new cool thing is a game that enchances the singler player experience by focusing all of the attention on single player by taking away multiplayer have been completely guided and told this by the dev constantly telling us this over and over.

2) This game had an average single player exprience, nothing at all was enchanced by not including a MP mode or at the very least a co-op mode online.

3) Paying full price for this game instantly turns you into someone who feels the need to justify their purchase and enter every single Wolfenstein thread there is to defend the amazing game that this is.

4) This game did come with a beta and the paying customer was it, the industry just wanted to see how little content they could get away putting into a game and charging full price for it.

5) Hello Pblimp! <3

6) I could never understand when people are glad that an optional mode that you don't have to play, developed by an entirely different team that has nothing to do with the single player story. The only reason not to include a multiplayer mode is to save money. That or your game/engine/genre is just not suited for it. As far as I know, FPS and MP are married.

Saying I play FPS games for the story is like saying I eat dirt for the taste.

lol all that blabber... Oh and halo/bioshock/borderlands/cod4/ would like to say hi

Didn't like or finish BIoshock, it was boring imo...the rest of those games have MP attached to it and were my main draws so...hi?

Sounds like the FPS genre isn't for you then friend. Others happen to enjoy SP FPS games/ campaigns, but I guess our taste in games is dry to the bone because we care about the Single Player.

You can't apply what you think a particular game is worth to everybody, I thought Wolfenstein TNO was worth the full price, so get mad.

People who think like TC are what's causing the AAA industry to stagnate.

Most idiotic post in the entire thread. I would have to say, judging by that comment, your brain was ''tacked on'' during the formation of your vital organs during pregnancy. Lol, gtfo.

That **** doesnt even make sense. Game with AAA budget releases average length single player campaign, and offers pretty much no replayability with the game. Yeah, something is stagnating alright.

The game is ****ing awesome, but i find myself running around hopping, sliding, and using MP tactics against the enemy AI. Why? Because the core mechanics of the game are what make a good multiplayer.

As for the ''tacked on'' comments, yeah, there are many games that ''tack on'' MP. This game was something different as far as the gameplay goes for SP, and if they carried over everything from SP, and had MP modes--even if using large areas from levels in the single player for multiplayer levels--it wouldnt feel ''tacked on''. But ****, even if it was ''tacked on'', it would still be fun.

Call of Duty feels ''tacked on'' because after they made the first game with the hit multiplayer, they kept releasing the same multiplayer with nothing more to offer than the previous ones. Thats pretty much as ''tacked on'' as it gets. THAT is the crap that is causing AAA games to stagnate, not people wanting more of a good thing, or expecting the developer of a AAA title with millions of dollars to put into production to have MP in their game...which is after all, a FPS.

I find it hard to believe that they didnt at least try to put one together. Maybe it wasnt going to be ready for release or something, so they canned it. I wouldnt mind getting some free MP DLC, or even paid MP DLC, as long as it wasnt some ridiculous price.

The thing about Gamefaqs is, if you enjoy something...someone is waiting around the corner to tell you that you suck and should be as miserable as they are!

Sorry but that s**** to funny. So why am I not allowed to enjoy this for its sp??? I know lots of people who play SP for their story's. Bioshock is the first series to come to mind, is it not funny the best 2 are the ones without a tacked on MP? Funny that.. But yea playing in first person is by far the most immersive way to take in a story. saying people can't enjoy them for their story is just plain stupid. Stop hating and follow your own quote up there. Thanks.

There are just way too many games out there that has really crappy add on type online multiplayer, and most of them aren't even needed because most people don't even play them.
So, no it doesn't need a crappy online multiplayer.
If you want an online multiplayer just go play the normal ones like any of the Battlefield games or CoD games or Halo games or Gears of War games or some others that I have missed.
