Wait....

You said "demo" and "costs" in the same sentence.

WTF is wrong with this picture???

EA has had this idea for a long time, seems like it's now surfacing.

You now get to pay for a demo of the game.

Some sites were reporting this as a glitch, but it's still up, so I think this is for real.

Only 2 weeks after EA said they want to become "player driven", they pull stuff like this.

****ing disgusting. Now demos on marketplaces are fined.

Looks like Ubisoft will start making demos now. They loved EA's online pass idea.

You guys are so entitled. EA shouldn't just give you all free s*** because you want it. They worked for it so either pay the price or shut the f*** up.

I swear this generation is nothing but spoiled brats.

Was gonna ask if you understood the point of a demo... Damn spoiler blocker.

Yeah it's pretty dumb to think people will pay $5 to try a game they aren't sure of

I hope nobody pays for these as it would set a very bad trend.

Please guys, do not pay for this!

If people actually bend over and take this then others will follow.

How much do people want a bet EA gets voted worst company in America again because of this?

Maybe they are believers of the saying "there's no such thing as bad publicity", and are actively aiming for that position?

Seriously, though, they are making me buying any of their games even less likely.

Funny thing is the journalists will be saying this. Even though they are claiming this must be an "error" so they know it is a stupid idea. But when EA pay them they will defend it.
#37lutonrulesPosted 7/4/2014 2:48:47 AM
yeah but how big is the demo? Because the recent metal gear solid game or "demo" was quite large and the prologue for gran turismo 5 was quite large so I think if the demo is big then I think the price is justified.
#38LapanuiPosted 7/4/2014 2:50:11 AM
I remember years ago, you would buy game magazines for a few quid and a demo would come with it. Of course, you would usually get 3 or 4 demos on the disc, but the magazine was included.

This is the dumbest idea ever. They overprice their games and are now charging for demos O.o

The dumbest part of this idea is the fact that some people will most likely pay for this and it will start a new stupid trend. The games of this generation are looking good, but the practices by these big corporations are very distasteful.
