When do you think we'll start seeing 4k games on X1?

Depends on how soon 4K output is enabled. I wouldn't be surprised if we see 4K native games shortly after that, although it will probably be mostly lesser demanding indie games or 2D titles that really use it (Xbox One games like Child of Light are already running at resolutions substantially higher than 1080p on the console). At the very least, I wouldn't be surprised to see games running at resolutions that are intermittently higher than 1080p and then upscaled to 4K (like several 7th generation games ran at resolutions higher than 720p and then scaled up to 1080p).

4K crushes even my system, these consoles will not be able to play any thing that resembles modern gaming at 4K and far as video support, 4K files are fairly massive and will not fit on a Bluray, Sony is working on ways to using the already existing format Bluray(Certain model players) and what not, the thing is. It's going to be a Sony thing, which means the Xbox One may never be able to play 4K titles from disc because they don't fit on Bluray as it is.

so it's basically going to be the 360/PS3 disc support again.. One supports the DVD (Bluray) and the other does Bluray (4k Bluray support)

Depends. Do you mind if the games look like Pong?

For a bit more serious an answer the X-Bone struggles at doing 1080p without having to drop detail - 4k is 4x as much work as 1080p. Hard to imagine it ever doing it in a real title that doesn't look like maybe a ps1 or ps2 era game.

No doubt. It's generally 720p-900p max for the XBOX ONE.

Outputs 4k visuals for TV, so you may be able to watch netflix vids in 4k not games.

Last year Microsoft confirmed that the X1 will support native 4k games: http://www.polygon.com/2013/5/23/4359450/xbox-one-will-support-4k-output-resolution-and-3d

I'm hoping it's pretty soon. I probably won't even have a 4k tv, but I will definitely be hitting up my local Best Buy to see it.

what you talking about, X1 can barely do 720p. what makes you think it can do 4k? lol

Can barely do 720p? Way to make it obvious that you're a troll.
