Couple questions about XBONE controller

I'm considering buying an XBONE controller to use on my PC. I currently use a wired Xbox 360 controller and a Razer Hydra (which will be upgraded to a Sixense STEM come October).

My questions are:

1. Does the XBONE controller automatically turn off when left untouched for a while? This auto-shutoff function of the 360 wireless controller makes it a non-starter for me, since I still need it powered up to use my headset when playing online multi-player with the Hydra as the main controller. Since the XBONE controller doesn't have separate wired/wireless models, this concerns me.

2. Does the XBONE controller support any of the 360 peripherals like the headset and chatpad? I'd like to know ahead of time if I'll have to buy a replacement headset along with the replacement controller.

The Xbox One is a good system.

1. It'll stay on for as long as it's plugged in.

2. No idea.

The controller does not support any of the 360 peripherals.

I'm fairly sure you can use a gaming headset for the 360 on the X1 with the adapter.

Correct, but the controller itself doesnt have the same data port. Thats what I meant.
