I don't know why but the kinect isn't turning on at all so I can do any voice commands. It wasn't hit or damaged and it's pluged into the X1. Anyone have any idea what's wrong? It started doing this a few days ago

Try these two things

1. Go behind your Xbox and make sure it's secure. Sometimes it may seem like it's all the way in, but it's not.
2. Hard Reset (fixes a lot of things....it's weird.)

Hard Reset usually works to fix this.

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago and it was fixed with a Hard Reset.
I will try and see it from your point of view, but I doubt we'll be able to fit both our heads up there.

Try these following things:

1) Make sure your Kinect is plugged in firmly, and hard reset your Xbox

2) If the lights on the Kinect don't come on after the hard reboot, go under Settings => Kinect

3) This should let you see the streams coming off the camera and run some calibration tests against it. If the settings say that your Kinect is unplugged and you don't see anything from the camera, you likely need to call Microsoft to get it replaced.
