Why do you think the X1 is having a hard time selling even with a price drop?

Customer faith was irrevocably shaken after the X1 reveal and the disastrous E3 showing last year.

Nooo, MS had a great E3 last year. They had a bad reveal, but their E3 was great. Very games-centric.

But I guess that just goes to show had bad MS's image is. People don't even remember what their E3 was really like, it's all just behind this cloud of negativity.

Last gen to-play list: Okami HD, Peace Walker HD, Red Dead Redemption, Nier.
Currently playing: FFX/X-2 HD

Or it was a bad E3 because they chose to ignore the the concerns of their customers. Just because they did show a good amount of games doesn't make their E3 good - addressing what your customers concerns are is what's important. At that point and time games weren't what gamers were concerned about but the policies MS was trying to implement.

Keeps on droppin' and the Kinect-less Xbone has entered the top 100 just recently despite launching quite a while ago, now.

So you're keeping a track of every detail of the Xbox One? I didn't realise you were literally that obsessed with Microsoft. Wow.

Oh yes...This one is so broken that he is THAT obsessed.

I will try and see it from your point of view, but I doubt we'll be able to fit both our heads up there.

They had a terrible E3. The memes flowed freely and the backlash was instant. Especially since e3 confirmed most of the negative rumours that were building in the months before (used games, etc).

I can't remember anyone that thought they had a good e3 ("tv, tv, tv") except the nutcases that speculated on the vague "game share" rumour. If there were games at the event, I don't remember any killer apps for xbone or ps4. 360 and ps3 on the other hand - sure.

So you may have heard the unfortunate news. Do you guys think that Microsoft will drop the price again? I'm beginning to wonder if undercutting the PS4 will even help.

Why do I think it's having a hard time? I honestly don't care. I love my xbone and I enjoy playing it. That's all that matters in the end.

There are many reasons it is not selling well. The Xbox One forced a camera on people (Sony gave people the option, and it is a lot cheaper than Kinect 2.0), the system is not as powerful as the PS4, PC to PS4 is a lot easier than PC to Xbox One (eSRAM bottleneck), GDDR5 vs DDR3, $50 vs $60 for PS+ & XBG respectively, Sony is a better hardware company than Microsoft (RROD), Sony's exclusives touch more bases than Microsoft's exclusives, and those are the reasons just off the top of my head. There are a lot of reasons buy a PS4 over an Xbox One, and Microsoft is doing a horrible job giving consumers incentives to buy the system. Microsoft is wishy-washy with their message, and consumers no longer trust Microsoft.
