Well they got 30,000 people from Nokia. They're rumored to lay off 6,000 people. That leaves 24,000 more jobs than they had before Nokia.


6,000 is from the last layoff, the layoff that is incoming is expected to be 5-10% out of 127,000

People losing their jobs is a bad thing, but companies do this all the time. Is an opportunity to clean the house as not every employee is good at what they do. Overlapping of responsibilities (this is normal after acquisitions - the case here). Offshoring of jobs (All big companies are guilty of this). Financial problems (we all know this is not the case here). MS is laying off people, Xbox is part of MS, so is normal to assume Xbox will be affected. Is not all doom and gloom for MS or Xbox as the ponies would love it to be. Business as usual for a big corporation, that all.
