Microsoft To Shut Down Xbox Entertainment Studios?

I first saw this and my mind was blown, "No more Halo games, WTF?!"

But it looks like this is a separate division from "Microsoft Studios" who actually handles the Halo franchise and other Xbox original franchises.

So my question now is, what does this group even do and what is the impact going to be to the future of Xbox One, if any?

Honestly, if I'm reading this right, they will continue to keep their current console floating, and the current projects will be finished, but that's it.

I'm digging madly right now trying to find out more information, but it seriously is looking like the Xbox One is the last Xbox console.

Where are you getting this is the last console? Microsoft entertainment isn't the entire console, it's just a division. Trust me, Microsoft isn't going anywhere in the console business.

I've never even heard of the division but from the way they describe what it is, most gamers including myself could care less.

LOL; you peeps are seriously upset over something. Chill out. I know there are other topics, but none of them are discussing what this really means.

Did they even make games? Or is this just that B.S. Netflix competitor that M$ thought they were going to create?

The latter. Which is a shame because they basically 180' from an all-in-one console back to an upgraded 360. Especially now since the increase in sales thanks to kinectless models highlight how unnecessary the kinect is in regards to gaming.

Microsoft isn't doing anything with their Entertainment studio because they are not offering anything people watch. Sony is offering Powers, but they are better in that area as well (they own Colombia pictures, and the Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters had two different Sony ads at the start). Microsoft is a software company, and they doing things that consumers do not really want, and they are not doing a good job convincing people to trust in their expertise.
