KI = Saberwolf Ditto matches with the first one to get a game winning combo.

It's not technical or complex at all, it's more rock paper scissors than skill based.

It has a lot more gameplay mechanics and variation in fighting styles among the different characters. It even has its own wiki-- I advise you read the entires for all the main titles for a better understanding of what makes GG so great: http://guilty-gear.wikia.com/wiki/Guilty_Gear_Wiki

Things like Roman Cancels and False Roman Cancels add more complexity to the game. Look it up if you're really trying to know. GG have a little more mechanics to it than K.I has. Some people play alot and still can't do Roman or FRC in GG( this is just an example).
