Why are console gamers seen as "young kids"?

Because responsible adults think games are ridiculous and for kids. There are a few responsible adults that game, I'm one, I hide my console in my entertainment center, friends don't know what I have, my 1&4 y old have no idea I game. My house is extremely clean, you wouldn't think I game until 10pm hits. Plus lazy parents tend to buy kids consoles to avoid parenting(sometimes).

So what you're saying is... I now know your dirty little secret. Those are some nice shoes you have on... it would be a real shame if I had to tell everyone you know that you're a gamer!

I don't care if they know I just don't brag or talk about it. I'm married to a doctor, not a single one of her colleagues game and I would never talk about it to them. Only 1 of my adult friends game but he barely does also. They all view it as a kids thing, I don't but don't care. Beats some of those doctors lifestyles, hookers and porn addicts with drinking problems who admit they're lonely and depressed all the time lol.

wow you're repression seems deep. Too bad you're not sharing something you enjoy with your kids. But hey, that's your business.

I'll repeat...I'm married to a doctor. Ask any pediatrician there thoughts on videogames and 4 y olds. My wife doesn't want them playing them until they're in school getting straight A's and earning the right to play, I'm a little more open but my oldest d t is only 4 and he doesn't need to play yet in my , opinion.

adults game. I'm 34, married and I game. Most adults play video games too if you think about it,, all those commercials on tv for online casinos and the mobile ap games they also advertise are video games and those adds are targeted to middle age people. It's just a bunch foul mouthed kids on online communities who make people think that only kids play video games. Oh and unlike kennyynnoo,,,,I'm not ashamed to let people know that I game and have all my gaming consoles in plain sight for all to see!

Having a PC seemed stupid to me unless you put it at a desk like you're working in an office. I prefer to game from TV and not have some big arse box, without having a wireless keyboard and mouse sitting on my lap, which i'm assuming is what people do if they have their PC hooked up to their TV in the lounge area. Common sense doesn't come into place.

360 pad with chatpad kb plus joy2key (or similar program) set up to use analog stick as mouse. Sorted. Instant best version of 90% of "console" games... from literally every generation. On one box. Plus superior media playback and storage for all those games and videos and music. You can even snap Skype on one side or stream your game to any streaming site..... basically, any halfway decent PC hooked up to your TV is everything MS wants you to think Xbone is (and let's be honest, Sony with PS4 too), except it actually delivers, far better than any console ever could, with a library a hundred times bigger than you'll ever get on any console.

That sounds so easy and convenient. - said no one ever.

Is it because kids tend to really do get consoles? I mean, they aren't going to ask mommy to get $1,000 PC or more. And you do always see kids browsing games near the games section in stores like Walmart, Target whatever. And they're def. all over the place in Gamestop.. I guess it's true in a way, adults w/ jobs get PCs.

Got a console but I also dropped $12,000 on a dirt bike as one of my other toys..so does that make you a peasant since you just have a computer?

3 kids at age 30!? That's crazy! I don't want kids until I am at least 40.

How do you have time for your wife and kids???

I don't play xb1 but 5 or so hours a week and usually late night or when I get time randomly. A workout takes 1hr if you don't mope around like a *****. Semi pro is summers only 1 2nd practice a week and game in evening on Saturday. Golf whenever I find the time. Basically it's called DON'T SPEND 10hrs a day gaming.

40? Lol you do understand it's harder to have kids at that age right? Especially if the woman is the same age. It's dangerous. Not only that but think about this. You'll be 58 when the kids graduates and they are 18. Hell with that I'm glad I had my 2 at my age now, so I can enjoy watching them grow up.
