I'm able to land a Western Digital My Passport Pro 2TB for 75 bucks. I think K it's a really good price, and I like it's speed and features. I'll only be using it for my Xbox, as I'm already at 50 percent capacity.

The thing I like is that you don't need to run power to it, but that's only the case with a Thunderbolt connector that's integrated to the unit. Do you guys think that I could get an adapter for it, possibly? A Thunderbolt to USB adapter I guess, so I can avoid running another thing to my wall.

Advice guys? Thanks. Oh, here's the sku to find it online at Best Buy. 6002187

Do you think an adapter for USB would be enough to power it?

Maybe? USB pushes 5v max. A wall adapter will push 12v. I would just plug it into the wall. It's hardly a big deal.

It won't work with the X1 because Thunderbolt to USB adapters don't exist. That drive is so cheap because there's probably like six people that use Thunderbolt.

Get a different drive.

You're right on the adapter part, I guess they don't. I'll have to suck it up and plug it in to the wall. This drive is retailing at 299, I'm getting it for 75 because of an accommodation through my employer.

Yeah but the drive won't work with the X1. Its thunderbolt not USB. The Xbox One does not have a Thunderbolt connector. Buying a drive that can't be connected to your Xbox One would be a waste of money.
