How is the X1's build/reliability holding up so far? Hardware wise.

It's the most reliable thing in my house.

Worst common issue is faulty disc drive. I'll take that. Way better than the 360.

I bought mine a few weeks ago and it was actually faulty--it was super loud when playing a game, almost like a small engine was in there. I was able to replace it, and so far the new console is great. It's actually a little quieter than my PS4, as far as I can tell. It runs fast and so far it seems reliable.

My launch xbox from 2001 runs fine to this day. Never went wrong once. Don't have the one yet, but I'd imagine it pretty reliable.

I haven't had any major problems but a few minor annoyances.

Ps4: fraying analog sticks on ds4. Got a free controller from Amazon.

XBONE: annoying squeaking sound coming from hdd. Sent in in for repair because it drove me crazy when watching nexflix.

Amazingly well. The One was built to not overheat. Its a slightly large console but that keeps problems to a minimum.

I've had mine since the Titanfall Edition. No problems here. Temperature wise, the hottest it gets is warm. The only way I can think of to get it hot is to cover the vent, but who would do that?

I was worried about hardware problems before launch, but when I saw the design, and read that the same team that designed X360 Slim designed X1, that put me at ease.

Only thing that went on mine was the DVD drive, but 20 bucks later and it's still going.

To be fair, many of the disc drive issues were from stupid people (including that well-known rant on youtube) who were trying to play games with the console in a vertical position....because they never read the instructions that came in the box.

I blame The X1 for that, the 360 and PS4 can play games while the console is vertical why can't the x1?
