Don't expect any news on one for at least another 2 years.

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite sig on the Citadel

Why would they re-design it after only a year and what difference does it make if they do? A new look doesn't automatically make it better.

I already bought the X1 but if a slim version comes out I'd get that one too and shelve the one i have now.

...

Have you any idea WHY they redesign consoles after a few years?

Remember the PS2 DRE problem? The Xbox 360 RROD? The fat PS3 YLOD? Hell even the original NES eventually changed from a front loading design to a top loading one to fix the problems of people having to blow out the cartridges to get them to work.

All fixed by redesigning the hardware.

not changing this sig until "being an idiot" is a moderation reason

Is that the next item on the checklist to beating PS4 in the NPDs?

You are hallucinating. Seek help immediately.

So exactly what hardware problems does the XB1 have? The 360 and PS3 I agree that a re-design was needed but the PS2 DRE was easily fixed and changing the Nintendo didn't help that much as you still had to blow in them sometimes.

I think a lot of people would be glad to have a smaller Xbone and without the need for an external PSU. It's simply huge compared to every other current or last gen console.

That's fair enough although I personally don't care as it all hides nicely in my tv cabinet. Changing it just for aesthetic reasons is stupid and was what I meant by my first post. If and when a time comes that there are hardware problems then re-design away.
