Also what is involved in installation? Is it just plug it in and it's ready or do you have to do more?

Just plug it in and it will ask you if you want it formatted to be used then you're done.I bought that at bestbuy for $50 2 weeks ago online, works fine, no complaints.

This is what I purchased off of Amazon, and it is totally worth it!

With a case for it:

You want at least 7200RPM+ if you want your games to load up a tad bit quicker (which all games can be loaded and booted from the external). Also 1TB is going to get sucked up fast. 3TB will last you a good while, and the 3.0USB cable that comes with the case is great too. The casing also has bright blue lights on it too that flicker as data is being processed and a fan that help keep your external cool.

It was a great value, and I think anyone looking to get quicker game loading times and memory should try these options for their Xbox One :)
