Source 2 confirmed out now and STEAM could possibly be coming to X1.

Maybe if not directly steam it will be some modified form of it like EA Access where hopefully they will keep the awesome sales that Steam has. Obviously I doubt MS would want Steam Workshop on the X1, but if we can get a modified form of it I would be just fine. And, this would only be natural for the step that MS is going with a unified system that in a way an X1 could become a Steam Box knock off kind of.

Mark my words Steam might be coming to X1. After all if MS wants to go all digital with the X1 or future Xbox why create an entirely new thing when they can use the backbone of Steam and EA Access to bring in the games, and this could open a way to backwards compatibility of games on Steam.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the Source engine has nothing at all to do with Steam apart from them both being created by Valve.

I believe this means more of Source2 engine games eventually coming out for consoles.

Man, if Steam ever came to the Xbox One that would shake up and change the entire landscape as we know it. Monumental would not do it justice.

Please don't wake me up from this dream.

Steam will only work if they are allowed to set their own prices instead of having them dictated by Microsoft. I'm more interested in Half Life 3 and with the Source 2 engine news I'm hoping we hear something at next years E3.

Microsoft will never allow games to sell as cheap on the marketplace as they do on Steam during the sales.

Steam was already on the Playstation 3. It's not what you think it is. It won't be the store. MS is big on being a closed platform. I doubt they will allow this. Seeing that Games for Windows Live failed. I wouldn't expect any cross platform games with PC.

Doesn't really have anything to do with Steam itself. It just means that Valve's been planning X-Box releases of Source 2 games which really shouldn't be news to anybody.
