If xbox fails. Microsoft game studios will just go to making windows exclusive games. They will never make games for sony or nintendo.

MS has made game for the DS. they're going to do what's best in their interest to get more money.

Right exactly, they are going to make windows exclusive games. They make 90% of their money from windows.

They made a DS game in 2005 when they weren't even important in the gaming industry. They are not going to make games for the competition in todays market thats moronic.

They will support PC if xbox dies.

if they drop out of the 'console war' next gen and think that they'll make more money releasing their game on a sony platform that's what they're going to do. of course they're not going to do that right now cause they have the x1.

I agree. I honestly don't believe Microsoft or Nintendo would make for the systems forum posters want them to anyway. People just assume they will do what Sega did but the market has changed significantly since they dropped out.

Go third-party?
Why not just liquidate the entire brand?

I strongly disagree. Microsoft has a dedication to PC. 90% of all computers in the world runs a form of Windows. Thats a ton of people with windows. Microsoft makes almost all of their money from PC. They wont be worrying about maybe increasing the sales of a few titles. If they started making Windows exclusives that were great games like Halo, Gears etc. even more people will get windows to play those games which means more dominance over the PC market and more money. It actually is not in their best interest to support nintendo or sony because it would bring in mediocre profit compared to Windows.

They'd have to make games people want to play. They're not Nintendo.

It wouldn't make any sense. Ms rarely have any exclusives to offer as a 3rd party company.
