If you had to, would you choose framerate over resolution?

I'd choose good gameplay over both. As long as the game looks good (it doesn't have to be 1080p 60fps to look awesome) and plays good I'm satisfied. Res and framerate weren't an issue last gen. Games like crysis and skyrim looked amazing. There's always going to be people that find something to b**** about.

A good game is a good game, regardless of system, res, framerate, and sales. Same goes for systems.

Everyone choosing framerate over resolution... where were you back in the N64 Expansion Pak days? Most people were choosing hi-res mode over a smoother framerate back then.

And don't tell me you weren't gaming back then, or I'll feel old.

Probably because the improved graphics from SNES to N64 was huge. It makes sense that people were completely swept up in resolution back then. But the bickering between 720p and 1080p...there's a difference for sure, but you can't even compare it to the difference between SNES and N64. I'd take the better framerate at 720p any day than a worse/inconsistent framerate at 1080p, but I'd probably take the graphical improvement from SNES to N64 over a better framerate.

I say "probably" because good luck explaining all that s*** to me at 8 years old in 1996...or whenever the expansion pack came out.

I don't have to choose, I can have both.

It's nice to have choices on how I play my game instead of a developer removing my choice.

The pack didnt help with Turok 2's frame rate though :(

I miss those days. And that game, it was brlliant.

60 fps always or 30 fps for open world.

Fpsis significantly more important than resolution.
