Let's be real here. This is a marathon, not a sprint. The Xbone still has Direct X12 coming up some time, and the infinite power of the cloud as well. Combine that with the ever so important Kinect and you have a winning combination. Am I wrong?

Reviews? Polls? Sales? Resolution? FPS? Nothing matters now except for what the competition does not have.

Stopped reading right there.

To answer the topic question, it isn't likely as they have quite the mountain to climb. They can absolutely compete but there's no way they dominate. Just look at last gens numbers where the 360 had a nice head start and more positive PR. The PS3 still caught up and in the end their total sales were almost identical.

I doubt that even before the whole PR thing. They probably wouldn't "dominate" this generation. They only did that last gen BC they rushed out the 360 and had an install base of like 7m before the other two came out. And they even lost that to the Wii in a year or two and ps3 tied with it( or surpassed according to some sources)

The Xbox brand just isn't strong worldwide. Maybe in the developed English speaking worlds their are( mainly us and UK) but even then the ps4 is soundly beating it quite swiftly and easily

Anything is possible. But each passing day of no megaton announcements makes it less likely MS can pull such a feat off. Not at the point of no return, yet, but it isn't far off.

The only way I would start using my Xbox One instead of the much better right now PS4 is if Microsoft offered some kind of Netflix-like subscription - that is will all games and possibly all DLCs for a fixed subscription - can be $15, $20, $30, I don't care.
