Should I even bother with Destiny if I don't have XBL yet?

Money is a bit tight right now and any extra money I have, I would rather it be used for a new game instead of spending it on a subscription to XBL. I know Destiny is a MMO game, but will there be a single player campaign attached to it too? Or is this game strictly online multiplayer only?

Also, when I say single player campaign, I am speaking strictly single player; not what ReSpawn did with Titanfall making it an online single player campaign that still requires XBL. I am getting Halo: MCC and CoD: AW for their campaigns this Fall and will play the multiplayer as soon as I can subscribe to XBL. However, should I even bother with Destiny if I don't have XBL?

Thanks.

Okay. I thought so. The game looks good, but without XBL it would just be a dust collector until I get around to subscribing. At least I have Halo and CoD to look forward to this Fall. I love FPS campaigns when they are as good as Halo and CoD; even though I've only played the first Halo on Xbox and all of the CoD campaigns from Modern Warfare and on on my PS3. :)

Does Destiny even have an offline component?
