Choosing a PC shouldn't mean someone has to drop consoles though. Its not just one or the other. I prefer my PC more than anything, but there is no way I am randomly going to give up consoles because of that.

My reply is to the ongoing conversation about seeing the light and not the OP.

PC, Xbox One, PS4, etc. I now hate the word "salt" because of Gamefaqs.

What happened to Jedi? He used to defend the XB1 up and down.

He gave up, trying the PC-only road now.

I've still got my Ps3/ 360/ OG Xbox that I enjoy playing regularly. For me, these elements/ standards in the current consoles is what threw me off completely and made me realise that I was no longer getting the best gaming experience for me, so I just decided to sell my Xbox One, put the money towards a decent gaming PC and built it with the help of a friend. To me personally, I no longer like where Nintendo/ Sony/ Microsoft are going in gaming industry, money is prioritized hugely over giving people the best gaming experience.

Existed, but didn't become the norm in gaming last gen.

These piss me off a lot. a whole lot... on that note, I want to give an especially big **** you to the likes of Ubisoft and others who enjoy these business practices.

It's sad really, game publishers (with the input of developers) no longer have gamer's best interest. It's more a money making business than anything else now. I think having to expect a season pass coming out is a sad thing really, when DLC only used to be created when there was a large demand from the customers and it was high quality DLC. 10-15GB patches for games is unacceptable to be honest.

Sony and Microsoft battling it out against each other for sales is doing more harm than good, the outcry of Rise of the Tomb Raider's exclusivity was enormous, meanwhile Sony is acquiring all the exclusive DLC they can.

I was pretty damn annoyed this morning when I heard Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor was going to have a season pass (the game is over a month away before it's even released) and PS4 exclusive missions (thanks Sony, now I don't get the same amount of content as PS4 owners).

Now with Shadow of Mordor, i'm not even going to buy it until it's sale and the season pass is on sale. This game was my 2nd most anticipated AAA title this year, but it became victim of a greedy money making practice.

That's not just consoles, it's been happening on PC for a while now.

Pay to play demos, seems half the games on Steam are now Pay 2 Play for Alpha version of the game. Graphics are also nerfed, Micro transactions been part of PC gaming for a decade now, stable internet required and subscription based service to play old games, well, that's World of Warcraft right there, lol.
