Nope it will never match PS4s insanely fast install times.

disc load/install times on ps4 are almost instanteous whereas on xbox they can take several hours.

is it possible (through software updates or optimizations) that the disc loading and install process can work exactly as it is on ps4?

or will xbox be stuck with very long load and install times for the rest of the gen? because using physical media on xbox is a chore.

Several hours? lmao.

Takes about 15-20 minutes no matter what and I've played a TON of games for the Xbox One.

Don't care whatsoever if it mimics whatever garbage the PS4 has going on.

I time all my installs. My longest install took 35 minutes. Usually, it would take about 23-25 minutes. So I'm starting to think that you people just make these install times up. Even Titanfall, which I got DIGITALLY, took 20 minutes to download and install.

Never waited more than 20 minutes for an install.

Lots of trolls on the board like to fabricate numbers.

That's a long time. But going all Digital is the worst. game size is only gonna get bigger over time unless a new solution is found.

No.

Food for thought: This company wanted an all digital future.

It's not crazy until you think about how behind the curve they were with their ambition.
- Not designed for speed
- Can't play as you install, on games the ps4 can.
- Just now getting preloading
- No PS Now type program
- No Share Play feature
- Even broke the 360s party chat.

They wanted the future one way, built the machine another and then took a 180 into oblivion.

Just food for thought.

You can play as you install. Do you even own an X1?

How did they break the party chat exactly?

Parties still are better on 360. hope future system updates will fix things
