you can buy the gift card with your cc and get to do al lthe things you listed above

then use the gift card on xbox

Well, you see... Some people are paranoid about using a credit card online. They think once they enter the numbers they are automatically going to get hacked and there information stolen. Never mind that most every card these days has fraud protection.

Edit: Also never mind that in the past people have had there identities stolen from brick and mortar stores (Target for example). You run the risk no matter what, but you can't convince everyone of that.
